Short Story du Jour #16 – Picturing Snakes

I’m a big fan of indie publishers, and I love to discover new small presses, such as C & R Press out of Chattanooga. And, of course, I also love reading expat stories. “Picturing Snakes” by Sybil Baker also appears in Talismans, her novel-in-stories recently published by C & R Press. In this story, Baker takes the reader to Cambodia along with Elise, a young American woman traveling around South East Asia in search of the ghost of her Vietnam War vet father.
