Brrrr

Today was pretty darn chilly.  Mt. Bizan (Mt. Eyebrow, for those of you who don’t speak Japanese) was dusted with snow this morning.  Here are some current temperatures around the house:

master bedroom – 10 degrees Centigrade

the room where my computer is (supposedly my writing room, but really the husband’s TV/mah johng room) – 9 degrees

  1. I just great the GREAT review of Losing Kei in mamazine. I agree with what the reviewer said about the only disappointment being that the story ended!

  2. Sorry to miss you last time you were here, so little happens here I don’t really keep up.
My house is cold too, not as much as yours!
The pilot went out on my heater about 7 years ago and I’ve never bothered to light it again, part of that to spite SCE&G and, well it doesn’t get THAT cold here. I guess it was about 40 in the house this morning but I’ve adjusted and I put on more clothes, another blanket and only heat the bath. The problem is when I go out into the rest of the world and sweat like a junkie because the heat is jacked up high enough that the staff can still wear their ironic t-shirts in the dead of winter. Seems like no one wants to live in this season anymore, just me and my fantasy of a giggly snowball fight with a rosy cheeked Liv Tyler in a J.Crew sweater and a thermos of hot buttered rum.

  3. Quelle surprise! How long have you been lurking on my blog, Keith?? Not to worry – I will be back in South Carolina this summer. And as for staying warm, why don’t you just get a kerosene space heater like us?! You just have to be careful not to asphyxiate yourself!
