Year of the Rat

Now that it’s the year of the rat, doesn’t it seem fitting that we have mice rustling around under our roof back home?!  Anyway, Happy New Year!  I wish you all good health, peace and prosperity.

And now is the time when I’m supposed to make my New Year”s resolutions, right?  Refer to last year.  Ha ha.

Without looking, I know that I broke most of them.  So, this year I will try harder to get my son to school on time!!!!!  I will try harder to get along with my mother-in-law, or at least I will try to stop obsessing about the laundry issue!!!!  I will stop using the credit card and go for a walk three-four times a week, and I will do something about all of the weight I’ve gained in the past year or so.  On this vacation alone, my jeans have suddenly gotten very tight.  I could blame it on the dryer, but I think it has more to do with all of those chocolate chip cookies and chips and glasses of wine.  And the fabulous home-cooked Indian food I ate in Greenville.

Finally, I will finish a draft of my novel-in-progress.

 Good luck with your resolutions!
