The Best Place

I often complain about how Japanese mothers don’t buckle up their kids in the car, and the kerosene fumes permeating my daughter’s classroom, and the excessive homework and many other things pertaining to the raising of children in Japan.  But get this – according to a recent survey conducted by an organization called Save the Children, Japan is number one when it comes to child development.  Kids in Japan are better nourished, healthier, and better educated than kids in all of the other countries surveyed.  The United States came in at #23.  So I guess we’ll stay put.

I second your opinion on this matter. Personally I have a child that suffers from ADD, and this aspect of child development has left me puzzled on the options that I can take up. Sometimes I am just at my wit’s end.
